Studio Guidelines

These guidelines help keep lessons straightforward, supportive, and focused on vocal development. They're here so everything runs smoothly for both of us.

Scheduling

I encourage clients to keep a regular weekly lesson time.

Consistency is one of the most important factors in vocal development—steady, predictable sessions support coordination, ease, and long-term progress.

If your schedule needs to change, just let me know and I'll check what openings I have.

If You Need to Miss a Lesson

If you need to cancel, please give 24 hours' notice when possible.

  • If you're feeling under the weather but still able to work, we can switch your lesson to Zoom at your usual time.
  • If you're contagious or too sick to meet in person, please stay home and we'll adapt the lesson or reschedule as needed.

If something happens last minute, let me know as soon as possible. Things happen—we can usually work with it.

A Note About Sustainability

Occasional cancellations are understandable, and I'm happy to offer makeup options when I have openings.

However, frequent cancellations make it harder for me to run a stable teaching studio. When missed lessons become a pattern, the ability to reschedule lessons may be limited.

I don't offer refunds for missed lessons, but with notice I'll always try to find a reasonable makeup time.

Practice

Short, regular practice supports the kind of changes we work on in lessons. If you're unsure how to practice or feel stuck, we'll adjust so you always know what to focus on.

Studio Environment

Everyone is welcome here—people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities.

I'm happy to use your preferred name and pronouns.

The atmosphere is supportive, grounded, and respectful. My focus is helping you develop functional, reliable vocal skills in a way that feels achievable and personal.
